Posco Clash: New Site Office for Posco amidst Tension

Bhubaneswar: With having more tensions between the anti-Posco and the pro-Posco groups which encircled violence on the Posco site, the South Korean company on Friday opened its site office at Nuagaon.

IDCO officials skipped the inauguration that was held without police protection. CMD of Posco India, YW Yoon refused to cut the ribbon and expressed grief over the death of a worker during the Wednesday clash. He observed the ceremony in a simple and symbolic way.

The site office will help to accelerate all project-related activities, including disbursement of compensation, said sources.

On the occasion, Deputy Managing Director Ho Chan Rue, Vice President Vikash Sharan, Director YK Kim, Director and General Manager I G Lee were present.
