Dr. Minati felicitated with the 5th Guru Debaprasad Samman at Rabindra Mandap
Bhubaneswar: Noted Odissi dancer Dr. Minati Mishra was presented the Guru Debaprasad Samman for her contribution in Odissi dance organised by Odissi Dance School ‘Tridhara’ at Rabindra Mandap on Monday.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Ashok Kumar Tripathy, Secretary, Culture and Tourism Department, Govt. of Odisha.

The evening started with Dr. Minati performing ‘Ananda Tandav’. Later Guru Ramli Ibrahim performed Mangalacharan, Ganesh Bandana, Swabhinaya Pallavi and Asthasambhu.

The next performance of the evening was Odissi recital presented by Guru Gopal Chandra Panda and Sangeeta Panda set to Rag Mangala.

The concluding performance of the evening was an Odissi dance drama ‘Sankshipt Ramayan‘ by the artistes of Tridhara, directed by Guru Gajendra Panda.

Mr. Tripathy honoured Dr. Mishra with the 5th Guru Debaprasad Samman. Apart from this, Odissi Guru Ramli Ibrahim and Odissi Music Guru Gopal Chandra Panda were also honored on this occasion.
