Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar-based popular literary publication house ‘Time Pass’ founded by young and dynamic writer-publisher Saroj Bal has announced its annual literary awards for Odia language and literature for the year 2012.

Young writer and journalist Amaresh Biswal will be the 5th recipient of the most prestigious Literary Award for youngsters, ‘Time Pass Booker Award’ for the year 2012.

The former winners of the award were Sarada Prasad Mishra, Satyapriya Mahalik, Mamatamayee Choudhury and Tapan Mohapatra.

The publication house also presents Timepass Bestseller award to two writers every year. The Time Pass Bestseller awards for the year 2012, will be presented to Ashish Gadanayak’s collection of short stories titled Bhata and poet Subhashree Lenka’s anthology Akasare Aji Janha Nahni.

Apart from this, Jagadish Prasad Nayak would also be honoured this year for his patronage to literature.

Eminent Hindi poet Vishnu Nagar would present the awards during the annual literary festival of Time Pass Publication to be celebrated on October 15, 2012 at Jayadev Bhawan.

The award was instituted in 2008 to discover and highlight gifted Odia short story writers below the age of 45.
