Bhubaneswar: The Film Making Workshop as a part of SURAVI-2011 is inaugurated by Aparajita Sarangi, Commissioner cum Secretary, School & Mass Education Dept, Govt of Orissa in a gathering of children from 30 districts of Orissa at Capital HighSchool Bhubaneswar today.
“We are encouraging our children treading their path into a new area of creativity”, said Sarangi.
She said, “I hope, the children will keep doing after they go back to their respective districts whatever they are learning here. Suravi-11 is designed to bring a change in children with 12 such workshops”.
“I believe in tremendous potentiality and creative power in children. In them they have fresh ideas and new things, which can bring a change in our life style, and film making is the vehicle to reach many in a short time,” said Gadadhar Puty, National Award Winning Oriya film Director and coordinator of this Workshop.
On the First day of this 7-day Workshop, ace cinematographer Jugal Debata spent 5 hours with these children speaking about the intricacies of camera to capture image the way one wants.
Tomorrow it is planed that Director, Subas Das will infuse the spirit of cinematic creation in these tender minds.
