Cuttack:Soon as volunteers of a Government-run Child Line Organisation got the news that someone has deserted twin baby girls at Cuttack Railway Station, they went to the spot and rescued them.

As said by Rini Mohanty, a member of the State Child Welfare Development, “Both the childrens were under- weight one weighing one kilogram and the other just 900 grams. Once the infants recover, we will nurture them with all care”.

Janaki, a member of Non-governmental organization, Vasundhara, is attending the twins at the hospital. 
As reported the childrens were deserted by their mother moments after their birth. However, they are no longer orphans. A long queue of couples have come forward to accept them.

The twin new-born baby girls, rescued from Cuttack Railway Station are presently undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital, have drawn wide attention of the state government agencies and the public who want to adopt them for their safe future.

It is noteworthy to mention that the babies, packed into a cardboard box, were placed in a corner of the platform.

As said by SCB Medical College Emergency Officer Bhubanananda Moharana,“ the condition of the twins is improving and they would be well soon”.
