Bhubaneswar: Rotary Club Bhubaneswar (RCB), has engaged itself in several philanthropic activities and has been doing several capacity building programmes to train unemployed to be self-employed. This is the first program of this kind by RCB which aims to enhance the employability skill of unemployed youths.
As a part of its commitment to create employment opportunities for the unemployed youth in rural area, Rotary Club, Bhubaneswar (RCB) has taken an initiative of its own to offer two months extensive driving training programme to the unemployed youth in rural area. This programme aims at improving driving skill, safety, reducing road accidents and generating responsible professional drivers.
In addition to this, a seven-day training course on fitness and martial art will also be imparted by Rotarians.
Mr. U. S Padhi, President of Rotary Club, Bhubaneswar, who was present during the inauguration of the programme, said that the aim of the training was to enable the youths for self employment and channelise their attention towards better avenues in life.
As reported he has also assured to provide placement opportunities for the enrolled candidates after successful completion of the training.
While inaugurating the Driving Training Programme at Bhola village under Chandaka police station in the city, Mr. S N Tripathy, Principal Secretary, Rural Development said, “This initiative would certainly help the unemployed youth particularly in rural area to make them self-reliant.”
