Bhubaneswar: State Vice-President and Spokesperson, Mr. Ashok Sahu, BJP alleges Revenue Minister Shri Surya Narayan Patro of owning two prime properties in the capital and tampering with his property lists.

As said by Mr. Sahu, Mr. Patro owns a plot at Nayapalli, which measures 10,926 Sq. ft. Alleging Shri Patro he said, “Such a huge plot is never given to a single individual from BDA allotment. Minister Shri Patro has manipulated the administrative rules to get it”.

Adding more Mr. Sahu said, Shri Patro has shown the value of his property as merely 55 lakhs which is understatement and amounts to perjury on oath. Its current market value would not be less than 5.5 crores. Despite this another plot measuring 43,000 Sq feet has been allotted in favour of his son by CM Mr. Naveen Patnaik, through the General Administration Department and this property which is worth at least 35 to 40 crores has not been mentioned in the affidavit during 2009 elections nor while submitting his curent property statement.

Moreover the second plot is being shown to be jointly owned by Shri Patro and his son Biplab Patro. Shri Patro has shown his entire property at Berhampur, Digapahandi, Chatrapur and Bhubaneswar, worth only Rs 2, 43, 80, 000 where as it would exceed 50 crores. Apart from this the property owned by his son and wife out side Odisha is not disclosed.

The BJP demanded that the land allocated to Shri Patro in Bhubaneswar near the DAV School should be cancelled and auctioned in open market for commercial purpose. The CM has to explain why bypassing the existing rules he had allocated that plot which was earmarked for Sewerage Board.

Moreover, BJP wants to know what action the CM is contremplating against Minister Patro for having given false affidavit.
