Bhubaneswar: Seetal, a student of Class-II of D.A.V. Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has been conferred with the most covetous National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement for the year 2011 for her excellence in the field of Academics, Art and Culture.

In a Grand Ceremony organised by the Ministry for Women and Child Development, Government of India, at Bigyan Bhawan, Seetal was honored by Smt. Krishna Tirath, Minister of State for Women and Child Development.

The Award consisting of a silver medal, a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a certificate was presented to her on 14th November at New Delhi.

Having received this Award, Miss Seetal has created a new bench mark for the youngsters as she is the youngest girl in the State to have received this award.

In a Grand Felicitation Ceremony organised on Friday morning, Miss Seetal, Mr. Aira Kumar Bhoi (Father) and Mrs. Sharon Pradhan (Mother), were honored by Dr. K. C. Satpathy, Principal, D.A.V. Public School Chandrasekharpur.

Earlier Soumyashant Nayak (2006), Akankshya Kabi (2009) and Bagmishree (2010) were the three proud students of the school to have received this rare award.

Mr. Madan Mohan Panda, Chairman of the School Managing Committee, Managing Committee Members , parents, teachers and students expressed their jubiliation and congratulated Seetal on this occasion.
