Bhubaneswar: National Coalition for Education (NCE India), on the eve of Universal Children’s Day, organized a rally by the school children from Master Canteen to lower PMG, to mark the International togetherness of the children and to protect their peace and dignity.

On this rally more than 300 scouts and guides from public school and B.J.E.M. School marched at 11:30 am from Master Canteen Square showing their placards and flexes of demand.

In her message, 16 year old Jainab, the flagbearer of NCE and India Pride Awardee demanded that an awareness among masses is needed on encouraging effort to enroll children in Government schools and the Government must spend 6% of its GDP on elementary education to bring the fruit in true spirit.

The children’s march was flagged off by Mr. Prafulla Das, Odisha Chief, ‘The Hindu’ and Ms. Monika Banerjee; SAARC English debate champion to extend their support to the children’s cause.

Mr. Naba Kishor Pujari, State Campaign Coordinator of NCE, Mr. Anil Pradhan of Odisha RTE Forum, Ms. Subhashree Das, State Research Officer, NCE, representatives from ‘Save the Children’ and other International organizations attended the rally and pluralized the demand of the children on their assembly.
