Bhubaneswar: Barabati stadium is all set to host the First One-day International to be played between India and West Indies on Tuesday. A larger crowd will be cheering the players this time as the
capacity of the stadium has been increased from 35,000 to 45,000.

“All tickets, both at the counter and online, were sold by Saturday evening”, Ashirbad Behera, Secretary of Odisha Cricket Association(OCA), told this on Sunday.

“We hope that the stadium will be completely jam-packed on Tuesday. The stadium has been completely renovated and was given a new look so that the spectators can enjoy the match”, said Mr. Behera, the
OCA Secretary.

Meanwhile, both the teams had arrived on Sunday evening. They were given a rousing reception at the Biju Patnaik Airport and were later taken to the MayFair Hotel in Bhubaneswar amidst tight security.

The Indian players will have their net practice at the stadium in the morning while the West Indies team will have it in the afternoon.

As many as three counters were opened for the smooth selling of tickets. Out of the 45,000 seats in the stadium, around 18,000 seats were available for the general public.
