Cuttack: A group of students of Ravenshaw University are gearing up to give a live commentary of the ODI match between India and West Indies to be held in Barabati Stadium here tomorrow.

Ashutosh Prayas Dash, M.Com. (VIth Yr), Subrat Panda, B.A. (Sanskrit) and some of their friends are planning to give the commentary in a unique way. Apart from the live commentary referring to the match telecast on a television set inside the studio, they would most of the time receive mobile calls and SMSes from cricket enthusiasts and convey their messages, analyses, wishes, views and opinions to all the listeners tuned in to Ravenshaw Radio 90.4 MHz.

Those who want to connect to Ravenshaw Radio, whether watching the match directly from the stadium or on the television at the comfort of their home, can call or send SMS to 9658991116 or 9861583145, said Ashutosh, who is excited for tomorrow’s game.

The voice calls will be broadcast directly on air, while the SMSes will be read out with the name and address of the sender, he said. The live commentary will start an hour earlier from 1.30 PM and continue till the end of the game, he added.
