Bhubaneswar:The State Government has decided to spend Rs. 816.58 for the reconstruction and the rehabilitation of the damages caused by the twin floods in the month of September-October, officials sources said.
In a high level meeting on Sunday, Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik, reviewed the progress of the reconstruction work in the flood hit areas and also the distribution of the house damage compensation where in it was found out that till now assistance of Rs 35-39 crore has already been provided to 1.82 lakh families, while Rs 1.39 crore has been provided for restoration of sandcast land, sources said.
Moreover, the Agriculture Department said that till now assistance of Rs 22.83 crore has been provided to farmers as Agriculture Input Subsidy (AIS). The Chief Minister asked the Agriculture Department to ensure disbursement of Rs 60.53 crore towards Agriculture Input Subsidy (AIS) to the farmers by December 15.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of State Government’s decision to provide an additional pension of one month to elderly peoples, widows of the flood affected area.
It is noteworthy to mention that the money to be provided will be funded from the Chief Mnister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) and is likely to benefit 5, 68, 542 peoples.
