Bhubaneswar: The exhibition stall put up by The Dhamra Port (DPCL) at the ongoing Enterprise Odisha 2011, organized by CII, Odisha chapter, has impressed upon many visitors at the five day long exhibition spanning from 25th Nov to 29th Nov 2011.
The Dhamra Port, which started its commercial operations in May 2010, has showcased its operational capabilities including berthing of super capesize vessels at Dhamra Port, at this exhibition.
Several dignitaries including Mr. C J Venugopal, CMD, IPICOL visited the DPCL stall and appreciated the showcasing of the excellent infrastructure in the form of Dhamra Port.
It is noteworthy to mention that Dhamra Port has already witnessed berthing of around 50 vessels and over 2 million tonnes of cargo (coal and limestone) handling since the launch of commercial operations in May 2010. Around 500 odd full rake load trains have been dispatched from the port through the 62 km Dhamra-Bhadrak rail link, carrying 2 million tonnes of cargo to various industries within India.
