Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway will start a new train in Odisha named Bhubanewar-Keonjhargarh fast passenger from Dec 7.

According to the East Coast Railway Department, the train will start its inaugural journey at 1145 hrs from Bhubaneswar. After leaving Bhubaneswar station the train will be felicitated at Tangiriapal, Sagadapata, Chilikdara, Harichandanpur, Nilakantheswar, Sitabinji, Basantpur, Naranpur and then on Keonjhargarh Railway station, said members of District Bar Association and Railway Passenger’s Association.

It may be noted that the new train will depart from Bhubaneswar station at 1600 hrs and will arrive Keonjhargarh station at 2100 hrs and return from Keonjhargarh at 0530 hrs arrives Bhubaneswar station at 1120 hrs. This train will cross Naraj instead of Cuttack due to the construction of Kathajodi, Mahanadi river bridge. After the constrution of bridges, it will again ply through Cuttack.

The train would have started its service to Keonjhar from November 18, but it started late because of the strike by the Truck Owner Association.

The people of Keonjhar district seemed to be very happy as they were eagerly waiting for the launch of this new train, which they demanded to the centre one year before.
