Bhubaneswar: Rajadhani Book Fair witnessed a good crowd on Sunday evening. Taking advantage of the weekend and a good winter evening weather book lovers, Intellectuals and general visitors paid visit to the fair. The road in front of Unit-III Exhibition Ground, the fair site, was chocked for some time with heavy traffic including mela visitors and passers by.

Rajadhani Pustak Mela, as it is named, was started in the year 2000 at with some limited arrangements at Jayadev Bhavan. In past 12 years it has taken a matured shape in pulling regional and national publishers and book sellers and a good number of book lovers and general visitors. This year the committee has installed 560 stall which is the heist in number in the past 12 years. Publishers and book sellers from over 14 states have joined the event, informs Mr. Ramesh Swain, convener, ‘Rajadhani Pustak Mela’. The number of publishers from Odisha and outside is almost 50:50, he adds.

The book fair will continue till 12 of this month. The Committee officials claim that the footfall is touching about 40-50 thousand, every day.
