Bhubaneswar: In a major set back to Posco and Odisha Government, Kunjabihari Gramya Surakshya Samiti (KGSS), a pro-project organization, on Tuesday, detained four-container loaded trucks in Gadakujanga area. The containers from Maharashtra were being transported to the site for construction of some temporary structures.

“As the trucks entered the site without any prior information to us, we detained it,” said Subash Mohanty, President of the KGSS.

Criticizing the Posco and District Administration Officials for violating agreement norms signed between KGSS and Posco authority, Mr. Mohanty alleged that they were not informed about this.

Mr. Mohanty said that his organisation will extend full support tothe project, but the major demands of the locals should be met immediately.

Reacting to this, Kujang Additional District Magistrate, Surajit Mohanty said, “construction work will resume very shortly. We are always in touch with the pro-Posco, anti-Posco and the Posco officials. If there is any thing wrong, it will be sorted out soon”.

Due to stiff opposition company wok has been stopped for the last two months.
