Bhubaneswar: In a high level meeting under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas on Wednesday it was decided that caste, income and residential certificates will be available to students in the school itself. Students no longer have to go to the Tehsildar office for the same.

The tehsildars will hold camps in the High Schools and will distribute the certificates to the students with the help of the Principals, the Managing Committee of the schools and the Panchayat representatives of the camp.

In this meeting CM directed to introduce the scheme ‘School Certificate Scheme’ to ensure delivery of the certificates to the students of Government aided and Block Grant High Schools in the State, which will benefit around 10 lakh students of different schools studying in Class-IX and Class-X.

Mr.Patnaik has directed to implement the new scheme as a mission and to deliver the certificates to the students by the end of the academic year.

Amongst others Shri Surya Narayan Patro, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Mr. B.K Patnaik, Chief Secretariat and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
