Bhubaneswar: Former Wicket Keeper of Indian Cricket Team, Syed Kirmani will arrive at Bhubaneswar on 10th December 2011. This time not for cricket, bur for a more noble cause.

Mr. Kirmani is supposed to attend the ‘HEAR EXPO-2011’ and Free Treatment Camp being organised by Institute of Health Sciences of Bhubaneswar at Saheed Memorial Sangrami Bhavan near Unit-IX.

The EXPO and the Camp will be a unique event in Odisha. The EXPO will be inaugurated by Smt. Anjali Behere, Minister, W&CD Govt. of Odisha at 5 PM in which Kirmani will be the star attraction. However the Free check-up and treatment facility will be available from 10 AM to 5 PM on 10th and 11th December.

Prof. Satya Mahapatra of Institute of Health Sciences of Bhubaneswar said that we the people of Odisha usually do not give proper attention to the autism disorders and even to proper hygiene, which leads to deafness and many other aliments which can be eradicated easily. Syed Kirmani is a bright example for this. Now after retirement from cricket he is devoting his time in spreading awareness in this subject.

Many internationally renowned experts will also participate in the Camp and the EXPO will be a showcase of advanced tools and equipments for treatment of autism spectrum disorder and speech therapy, Mr. Mahapatra said.
