Bhubaneswar: The Federation of Motor Sports clubs of India (FMSCI) has hosted the sixth leg of the Speed Indian National Rally Championship in Odisha from December 8 to 10. Odisha made a maiden entry into the motor-sports map of India, which successfully conducted Formula One championship recently.
The rally was organised by Kalinga Motor Sports Club and Bengal Motor Sports Club under the aegis of FMSCI and promoted by IMG Sports and Pro-Sports Promotion (PSP).
The first five rounds are held at Nashik, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore and Chikmagalur.
“Odisha has a lot of motor-sports talent and has a great potential to become one of the hot spots for motor-sports in the eastern region of the country,” said Nandini Chakrabarthy, one of the organizers.
