Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railways has decided to resume night services of trains in the Kharagpur-Adra, Kharagpur-Tata and Rourkela-Chakradharpur sections from Sunday.

However, all the passenger trains will run at a restricted speed of 75 km per hour between 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs during bandhs called by the Maoists. Light engines and goods trains will run before passenger – carrying trains during night for safety, according to an official release here on Saturday.

The restrictions have been withdrawn after nearly 20 months in Maoist-hit areas following the Jnaneswari train carnage in May 2010.
