Bhubaneswar: With two more persons dying, the death toll in the consumption of a local brew (Salap Rasa) in Odisha’s Rayagada district has climbed to four.
Earlier, two persons had died and eight others were admitted in the Rayagada District hospital on Sunday.
The victims from Bada Sesakhal villages, had consumed the local brew on Sunday and had shown symptoms of dizziness, loose motion and vomiting after consuming the brew, hospital sources said.
One person named Lunu Patana and another person named Laccha Pariribaka had died on way to the hospital yesterday. Five other persons were being treated at the district headquarter hospital, and two others who were in a critical condition were shifted MKCG hospital Berhampur yesterday, sources said.
