Bhubaneswar: The testing of Prithvi-II missile from Launch Complex-III of the ITR, Chandipur in Balasore was postponed due to a technical problem.

“The test was postponed due to a technical snag”, said ITR Director S P Dash.

The date for future trial would be decided after correcting the problem Mr. Dash added.

The medium-range missile, which can carry a payload of 500-1000 kgs and has a maximum range of 350 km, was scheduled to be launched Wednesday by Strategic Force Command (SFC), as part of a training exercise from the Chandipur test range, about 230 km from State capital Bhubaneswar.
