Bhubaneswar: An unbeaten century by Robin Bisht (127) and excellent pace attack by Sumit Mathur taking 3 wickets, put defending champions Rajasthan in command over Odisha on Thursday in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

In reply to Rajasthan’s first innings score of 423 from 155.4 overs, Odisha were struggling at 76 for six.

Sources said the seventh wicket partnership between Govind Poddar (18, not out) and Deepak Behera (7, not out) saved Odisha from a total collapse.

For Rajasthan, Pankaj Singh took two wickets by dismissing opener Paresh Patel and Niranjan Behera in one over and Sumit Mathur destroyed the opposition middle-order by taking three wickets for eight runs.

Robin Bisht has a total of four hundred in the ongoing season. He has added 829 runs so far, the highest in the league and Sumit Mathur, who did well in the previous match was in excellent form on Thursday.
