Bhubaneswar: The fifth evening of International Odissi Dance Festival-2011 was full of delights and divinities. Watching four generation of Odissi dancers on stage and all of them coming up with so many variations and varieties was the gain from the fifth day of International Odissi Dance Festival 2011, organised by Odisha Tourism Department.
The morning session of the day started with the dance performance of Jaya Mehta from New Delhi.The other performers who marked their impressive presence were Supriya Nayak, Mitali Giri, Aniket Pallav, Surmandir, Cuttack, Sai Smita, Mani Behera, Kunjalata and Jyothsna Sahu.
The evening was packed with excellence. Upcoming and accomplished stars of Odissi, came one by one on to the stage and spread the radiance of typical Odissi aesthetics. The evening session started with the dance performance of Kiran Sehgal of New Delhi. Alok Kanungo, Sharmila Biswas, Sridutta, Pabitra, Lingaraj Pradhan, Odissi Vision and Movement Centre Kolkata, Rabindra Atibuddhi and Group of Mumbai were also a part of this glorious evening.
Eminent dancer and former Vice-Chancellor of Sambalpur University Dr. Mrs. Priyambada Mohanty Hejmadi, Padmashree Madhavi Mudgal, Guru Durga Charan Ranbir, Pratap Das, President of Indian Performing Arts Promotions (IPAP) and Bhawani Prasad Rai graced the occasion.
