Puri: At a high level meeting, Odisha Chief Secretary B K Patnaik on Tuesday, emphasised on the timely completion of the ongoing widening and four laning of the Puri-Bhubaneswar NH-203 for the smooth flow of the traffic during the 2015 Nabakalebara.

Reviewing the progress of work, Mr.Patnaik also directed the officials to complete the widening of the Puri Satpada and Puri Konark roads, besides laying of the new under ground pipe water supply in Puri.

The National Highway officials present in the meeting informed that the four laning of the Puri- Bhubaneswar road would be completed by 2013.

The Chief Secretary expressed his concern over the inordinate delay in laying of the sewerage network and asked the officials to complete it by 2012.

Mr. Patnaik directed the district administration to remove all encroachments around the Sri Jagannath temple and from the city roads to facilitate free flow of vehicular traffic.

Among others Puri district magistrate Arabind Agarwal, officials of NHAI, PWD, local municipality, Superintendent of Police Amitendranath Sinha were present at the meeting.
