Researchers have now developed a new battery-Powered gumshield which they say can cure dry mouth in London.

As per sources, the horseshoe-shaped device that fits over the lower teeth creates painless electric shocks and stimulates the nerves in the mouth inorder to trigger the production of saliva. The device functions by a hand-held remote control which can be used for a maximum of ten minutes an hour.

While healthy people produce around three pints of saliva a day, many people do not produce enough saliva which is necessary for basic functions such as speaking and swallowing, a condition known as xerostomia.
