Bhubaneswar: The academic committee of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has finally approved to change Plus II syllabus to make it over 90 per cent CBSE type on 28 th December 2011.
CHSE controller of examinations Jasobanta Behera said a panel of writers have been formed to revise textbooks and the change will come into effect from the coming academic year.
The Odisha Directorate of Text Books would be printing the books as well as the revised syllabus would create a level playing field for Odisha students at the all-India level, Behera said.
Moreover, the committee also approved the new examination pattern from 2013 to make 70 per cent objective type questions with short answers such as yes or no, multiple choices or single word answers. Only 30 per cent questions will be subjective type with long answers.
