Bhubaneswar: The OPCC has decided to submit a memorandum containing the chargesheet and political situation in Odisha in order to draw the attention of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh towards the ‘scams and large-scale irregularities’ in the State during his visit to Congress Bhawan on January 3, 2012.

As per sources, Singh will inaugurate the Indian Science Congress (ISC) here. The OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik will submit the chargesheet to the PM. Apart from this, Patnaik has convened an extended executive body meeting of the party on Monday ahead of the high-profile visit.

Moreover, the meet is expected to discuss strategy for the ensuing panchayat polls, the political situation in the state, ‘deterioration’ in law and order situation and large-scale ‘corruption’.

The visit to the Congress headquarters here will be the first-ever by the Prime Minister.
