Bhubaneswar: The State Government has decided to formulate an e-governance policy that will help different department in executing different work in a speedy manner, including the policy on information technology and hardware production.

It may be noted that the proposed policies were discussed at a meeting presided over by Chief Secretary B K Patnaik in the Secretariat here on Friday. Secretary in the Information and Technology Department P K Jena presented the roadmap of the implementation of e-governance in the State.

The Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) under the IT Department with the assistance of technical consultants has prepared the draft policy on e-governance. The roadmaps prepared by 21 departments for implementation of e-governance was disscussed at the meeting.
