Bargarh: The ninth day of the 11-day Dhanuyatra on Saturday witnessed a tearful farewell to Lord Krishna, Lord Balaram and their sakas by the residents of Gopapur, who left for Mathura accompained by Akrura as per the direction of demon king Kansa.
Yashoda pleaded with Akrura to take care of the children. Women of Gopapur rolled on the ground crying in a bid to stop Lord Krishna from leaving during the passage of the scene.
Meanwhile at Mathura, king Kansa continued his Nagar Parikrama on a Elephant along with his ministers. He destroyed houses at Govindpalli for their devotion to Lord Krishna. He slapped fine on residents of Mathura and loses his control after being informed about Lord Krishna’s willingness to participate in Dhanuyatra. He also witnessed cultural programmes like folk dances at the Rang Mahal.
Minister Akrur after reaching Mathura, went to Raj Durbar of king Kansa to pass the message of Lord Krishna and Lord Balaram’s visit.
