Lord Krishna and Balaram arrive at Mathura
Bargarh: The tenth day of the 11-day Dhanuyatra on Sunday witnessed the arrival of Lord Krishna and Balaram at Mathura to take part in Dhanuyatra.

After spending a night at Adimata temple at Khajurtikra on Saturday, Lord Krishna went around Mathura on Sunday. Like every house in Gopapura, Lord Krishna was also worshipped in every house in Mathura.

Demon king Kansa on the other hand continued his tyrannical ways of punishing and penalising people for the slightest mistake. He continued his Nagar Parikrama (tour of kingdom) on an Elephant along with his ministers. Kansa after hearing the news of Lord Krishna’s willingness to participate in Dhanuyatra, is seen anxiously waiting for his arrival so that he can kill him. Kansa has made all preparations for the fight. He has directed his ministers to be alert. However fearing his death, Kansa is seen distressed.

Apart from this Kansa also enjoyed cultural programmes like folk dances at the Rang Mahal and Raj Durbar.
