Protest organised by the Odisha Gana Samaj in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: All party members in Odisha joined a massive rally here demanding justice for Pipili gangrape victim on Monday.

The leaders and activists of main Opposition Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Left Parties and other non-ruling parties participated in the protest organised by the Odisha Gana Samaj in Bhubaneswar.

The rally was joined by thousands of people from various sections of the society, including Journalists, Lawyers and Activists.

The protestors burned effigies of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy infront of collector’s office and shouted slogans against them for their failure in providing justice to a 19 year old girl, who was allegedly gangraped in Pipili of Puri district on November 28, 2011.

The agitated Youth Congress sympathizers have blamed Chief Minster Naveen Pattnaik for shielding Agriculture Minister although Crime Branch Investigation has indicated his involvement in the incident. They have demanded immediate suspension of Maharathy, with stern action against the culprits.
