Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Prasannata Sandilya from Nisha village in Angul will get National Bravery Award for foiling a Dacoit Bid on April 12, 2011.

On Republic Day in New Delhi this year, Prasannata along with 26 young brave-hearts from across India will receive the National Bravery Award from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

It is noteworthy to mention that National Bravery Award for Indian children is given every year by Government of India and Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW) to Indian children for meritorious act of bravery against all odds.

The award comprises a medal, a certificate and a cash award, besides financial assistance in education.
