Bhubaneswar: For the first time, the Global Citizens’Summit is scheduled to be held on January 26 at Sai International School, Bhubaneswar.

The summit will be inaugurated by Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha.

Students from 115 schools across India to focus on global citizenship will be in Bhubaneswar from 26-29 January 2012 to explore and experience different cultures and form an active community of global citizens.

The British Council works closely with schools to equip students to develop as committed, knowledgeable global citizens.

Representatives from Big Dance, 100 Words, BBC World Class, Tony Blair Faith Foundation will be present in the submit to facilitate the workshop sessions on everything from conflict resolution and faith to creative writing and theatre, diversity, dance, physical fitness, music, presentation skills and communication, fine arts and youth leadership.

The ultimate goal of the summit is to help establish a community of students and teachers committed to develop global citizenship and internationalism in their schools.

The submit is being held in collaboration with the SAI International School, Bhubaneswar.
