Bhubaneswar: In a Press Meet at Hotek Keshari at Bhubaneswar on Friday, Dilip Kumar Nanda, Chairman of the festival committee informed that the 10th Annual National ‘Kharavela Mahotsav’ will begin at the foothills of Khandagiri from January 30.
The week long cultural festival is being hosted by the Kalu Nanda Memorial Trust and supported by the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata, Song and Drama Division of Government of India and Orissa Government.
The festival shall showcase a wide variety of folk and classical dances by 1300 artistes from 14 Indian states, informed the organisers.
The Odissi dance programme by MS Koustavi Sarakar and group from the US and performance by a cultural team from Jammu Kashmir will be an added attraction in the festival.
Apart from this about 50 stalls of handloom and handicrafts items will also displayed for buying.
