Bhubaneswar: MindTree, a global IT and Product Engineering Services Company has started work on its 20-acre campus, named MindTree Kalinga, as a part of the Chandaka Special Economic Zone in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has laid the foundation stone of the project on Thursday.
“MindTree Kalinga, our fifth campus in India after Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune, will be built upon 800,000 square foot area and will have three software development blocks, one academic building and a trainee accommodation facility. In the first phase, we will build the training campus,” said Subroto Bagchi, Vice Chairman of the company.
Bangalore’s reputed architects, Chandavarkar & Associates have designed the 20-acre campus taking a cue from the ancient architectural principles behind local temples and applied them to a modern design. The campus is being built in a phase-wise manner and the first phase of 200,000 square feet will be completed by 2013.
