Bhubaneswar: The three-day Global Citizens’Summit at SAI International School, Bhubaneswar concluded on Sunday.

Over 400 students and 100 teachers from all across India participated in the summit.The main objective of the summit was to help establish a community of students and teachers who are committed to develop global citizenship and internationalism in their school.

The three-day summit witnessed facilitators from international organisations like Big Dance, 100 Words, BBC World Class, Royal Shakespeare, Tony Blair Faith Foundation to facilitate the workshop sessions on everything from conflict resolution and faith to creative writing and theatre, diversity, dance, physical fitness, music, presentation skills and communication, fine arts and youth leadership.

The summit was inaugurated by CM Mr. Naveen Patnaik on Thursday. Amongst others Governor Shri M C Bhandare, Subroto Bagchi,Vice-Chairman of Mind-Tree, Charlie Walker, Director of Programmes of British Council India, Sally Goggin, Director of Education of British Council India, Dr. Arun Prakash, Principal SAI International School and Mr. Bijoy Kumar Sahoo, Chairman, SAI International School were present.

The summit was held by British Council of India in collaboration with SAI International School, Bhubaneswar.
