Angul: The crucial tripartite talks between the district administration, representatives of displaced families and the Jindal management to resolve the Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) crisis failed on Wednesday following differences over the presence of media.
The differences aroused when Siba Mishra, Collector, suddenly raised objections to the presence of the media and told the representatives that the talks should not take place in the presence of the media. The Collector’s proposal was rejected by the representatives and the media as well. They staged walk outs and the meeting failed to take off.
The next meeting would be held on February 3.
