Bhubaneswar: Panchayati Raj Minister Maheswar Mohanty’s condition is stable but he is not out of danger, said Mr. R. K Padhy, Chief Administrative Officer of Kalinga Hospital on Wednesday.

Mohanty is to undergo CT scan for the second time and will be kept under observation for 72 hours, informed Mr. Padhy.

It may be noted that the Mohanty sustained head injury at Alandia village in Puri district on Monday night when he was hit on the head by one Balabhadra Bhoi alias Mahari with a crow bar while he was addressing a meeting of party workers.
