Bhubaneswar: A two-day National Seminar on “Food Safety” was organized by the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services and Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Heritage today at Hotel Mayfair Convention.
The Seminar was inaugurated by His Excellency, Governor of Odisha, Shri Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare.
The Governor in his inaugural speech expressed his satisfaction and appreciated the efforts of the organizers in having such an awareness Seminar whose purpose was to throw light on the rise of apathy towards unsafe food and steps needed to reduce the burden on food safety.
The Seminar received an overwhelming response from all sectors of food chain. More than 200 delegates from different sectors of food chain like Diary, Food Processing and Hospitality Industries from different States like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat attended the seminar.
Among others, Shri B N Panigrahi, DDG, Prasar Bharati, Shri Ashok Tripathy, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Shri B P Tripathy, Shri Debabrata panigrahi, managing director, Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services were present.
