Puri: The unique ‘Jugalbandi’ of two world class artists of two different art forms at the Puri beach on the theme, ‘Environment and Wildlife Protection’ began on Saturday.

International sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik and his team with the help of about 20 tonnes of sand have created number of Olive Ridley Turtles and Dolphins. At the same time American artist Tracy Lee Stum who specializes in interactive 3D chalk paintings has began her work on Saturday.

While Sudarshan Patnaik has already completed his art, Tracy is to finish hers by today noon.

Large number of tourists had gathered at Puri beach to see this Jugalbandi.

“The event while acting as a platform to send out a strong message for protecting our environment is supposed to attract more visitors. The Department has decided to keep the art on the beach till Monday for public viewing, said H S Upadhaya, Director, Tourism Department of Odisha.”
