Mass protest by Samajwadi Party Odisha State Committee on Monday
Bhubaneswar: The Samajwadi Party Odisha State Committee criticising the distorted report submitted by SCW’s Chairperson Dr.Jyoti Panigrahy on the Pipili gangrape case has sought her resignation today.

The Party submitted a memorandum to Governor Shri Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare demanding the dismissal of Dr. Panigrahy, which mentioned that the report submitted by her is biased and fabricated. It was meant more for defending the culprits rather than providing justice to the poor victim who has been in a coma stage since November 18, 2011.

Citing the report as painful the Party said that the report betrayed the basic objective of the Commission whose work is to defend the dignity of women and to provide justice to the poor victims who succumb to exploitation and torture.
