Cuttack: As there has been no marked improvement in the condition of the Pipili gangrape victim, the Government has sought the help of experts from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

The Government has asked to depute a Professor of Neurology to examine the victim who is in a semi-coma stage under the care of a team of Professors at the Central ICU of the SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH) and to guide the treatment procedure.

The move came in response to the advise of Dr. Dibakar Basak, Director, National Commission for Scheduled Caste (NCSC) who reviewed the condition of the girl and suggested to invite a neurologist from AIIMS to provide better medical care to the victim.

It is noteworthy to mention that apart from conventional therapy, music therapy was also exercised by the doctors. But there was no improvement in the condition of the victim. Apart from this the Government had also tried earlier to shift the victim to AIIMS. But the family members of the victim were unwilling to send her.
