Cuttack: Dr. Manjari Tripathi, senior epileptologist and neurologist of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi visited SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH) today to examine the victim who is in a semi-coma stage. Dr. Tripathi visited the victim at the Central ICU of the SCB MCH and inquired about her health.
Taking note that there has been no marked improvement in the condition of the victim, the Government had asked to depute a Professor of Neurology to examine the victim who is undergoing treatment under the care of a team of Professors at the Central ICU of the SCB MCH and to guide the treatment procedure.
It is noteworthy to mention that the move had come in response to the advise of Dr. Dibakar Basak, Director, National Commission for Scheduled Caste (NCSC) who reviewed the condition of the girl and suggested to invite a neurologist from AIIMS to provide better medical care to the victim.
Apart from conventional therapy, music therapy was also exercised by the doctors on the victim. But there was no improvement in the condition of the victim. Apart from this the Government had also tried earlier to shift the victim to AIIMS. But the family members of the victim were unwilling to send her.
