Dhamra: A plant level vendor development program was jointly organized by MSME (Cuttack, Govt. of India), Dhamra Port Company Ltd (DPCL) and Industries Dept (Govt. Of Odisha) here on Tuesday at Dhamra Port premises.
Around 100 small and medium entrepreneurs from all over the state attended the program. The aim of the program was to facilitating the business opportunities to the local entrepreneurs. Vice President (Operation & Maintenance), DPCL, Prem Sinha inaugurated the program.
Representatives from various local industries of Bhadrak and Balasore, mainly in the field of ceramics, fabrications, machine tools, fly ash brick manufacturing, polymer, interiors, electrical etc. participated in the press meet. Representatives from DPCL outsourced companies like TMILL, Unirail, PSM and TM Harbour etc. informed the vendors about various product requirements of the port and explained how the small and medium entrepreneurs of Odisha can tie-up the business with their units.
Port site visit was also organized by DPCL for the vendors, wherein they were given an opportunity for firsthand and on-site information regarding various requirements of the port.
