Bhubaneswar: Claiming that Centre is not serious about terrorism, Pravin Togadia, International General Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Wednesday demanded the immediate withdrawal of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), that is to be operational from March 1.

“The National Counter Terrorism Centre must be withdrawn forthwith as it is will enable the Centre to grab powers enjoyed by State Governments. It is against federal structure,” Togadia said.

Adding more Togadia said, “If the United Progressive Government Government is so sincere about fighting terror it should have allowed the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) to continue.”

Togadia who is on a two-day visit to the State, also informed that, VHP will also oppose religion-based reservation, and would launch a nationwide campaign, Hindu Roti and Sikhya Bachao, starting from Somnath in Gujarat from February 27.
