New Delhi: The stage is all set for India to enter the elite club of nations having the Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) capability with the Agni-V getting ready for its first test launch in March.
The first test of the missile will be conducted in the last week of March at Baleswar’s wheeler island, DRDO Chief V K Saraswat said.
The members or the organisation who have played a pivotal role in preparing the missile will be present to witness the test.
Adding more Mr. Saraswat said, the DRDO is expected to do many more tests on the missile to analyse the facts in the coming year. The preparation of the missile took two years while another year is still needed for testing.
Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing at the test facility in Wheeler island and other labs which will participate in the launch.
It is noteworthy to mention that India will become the 5th Nation in the club of having successfully test-fired Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles after America, Russia, China and Israel, provided the test is successful.
