Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik has urged the Posco officials to show patience over the delay in implementation of its proposed project in the Jagatsinghpur district. CM told media persons “We believe in peaceful industrialization in the state” in response to a question on the recent remark of Posco-India Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Yong-Won Yoon on the delay of the project.
The CM also told that the administration and the police officials are working hard to ensure peaceful implementation of the proposed project.
Earlier Posco had blamed the state Government for delay in lifting restrictions on the movement Posco officials to the project site mainly the South Korean officials. The company also urged the state Government to resume work on ground leveling, tree felling and other infrastructure development work at the project site. It is important to mention here that Posco is the single largest Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India with more than fifty thousand crore rupees of investment.
