Paradeep: Fertilizer giant Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO) plant at Paradip, in Odisha, achieved record in production and performance in various sectors like energy consumption and environment management during the financial year 2011-12.
The unit achieved record production of 18.41 lakh tonnes of fertiliser during 2011-12, surpassing the target of 18.00 lakh tonnes for the year.
While disclosing the yearly performance of the unit for the year 2011-12, Senior Executive Director Mr MR Patel, said that the one time most inefficient environmentally unacceptable Paradeep unit, has converted itself into one of the most efficient and environment friendly unit, within a span of 6 years.
During the year 2011-12, the unit has made an excellent performance in the history of IFFCO by achieving an all time high records in all fields.
Apart from this the unit has received several awards like “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit”, “Water Management and Water Conservation Award” , “FAI Award for the Best Technical Innovation”, “12 Global Greentech Environment Excellent Award 2011”, “Second Best Importer Award” from Paradeep Port Trust, “Best CSR Award” from Rotary Club, Bhubaneswar during the year 2011-12.
