Good news for the iPad lovers, Apple’s latest tablet the new iPad is all set to hit the Indian stores on 27 th April 2012. The iPad will be available in two colors (black and white). New iPad Wi-Fi models will be priced at Rs 30500, 36500 and Rs 42500 for 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB respectively. While WiFi and 4G models pricing will start from Rs 38900. WiFi +4G models are priced at Rs 38900, Rs 44900 and Rs 50900 for 16GB, 64 GB and 50900 GB respectively.
However, the new iPad is not compatible with the 4th Generation (4G ) LTE network currently available in India and would only support current 3G networks.
The new iPad comes with A5X processor coupled with quad core graphics. Display screen (9.7 inches) is now even better with the new Retina display, supporting 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. This iPad runs on the iOS 5.1 and has a front VGA camera and rear 5 MP iSight camera with advanced optics for capturing amazing photos. HD video recording at 1080p is possible.
In addition to India, the new iPad will be available in Colombia, Estonia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand on April 27.
On the other hand the new iPad is already launched in Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela in April 20.
The device will be launched across India at 26 retail outlets of Reliance Digital as well as 19 Apple iStores (which are also managed by Reliance) in 16 cities.
It is noteworthy to mention that Reliance Digital increased its presence in India by 3 times in just 1 year. Reliance Digital had just 27 stores in 2011, whereas in 2012, the number of retail outlets owned by Reliance Digital increased to 75.
